Spec Ops: The Line App Reviews

I got my new imac with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX last year but i can not even paly this game at the lowest setting. Don’t buy this game...

I used to love playing this game (in spite of the occassional freeze). Unfortunately it no longer loads after updateing my MBP to Yosemite. (MBP Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013/2.6GHz Intel Core i7/16GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048MB).

Even though the graphics are beautiful, I found this game to be very glitchy - lots of freezes, stutters, and crashes - no matter what the setting (From very low to very high) nothing appears to work - I have a 2013 iMac with a 1 GB Nvidea Graphics card and 256GB Solid State Memory - I tried to install and run it via installation on my Solid State Memory and even again on the Seagate Drive and it still does not work right - they should re-name it “Spec Ops - Nothing Works” An update is sorely needed - meanwhile, it’s not worth the price.

Where is the update? This would be agreat game if actually played.

Game is full of glitches. Literal black patches where the developers left out part, and not just in small areas, on the first mission the communications tower was speckled with these large black blocks, it’s horrible graphics and hard to play. MULTIPLAYER DOES NOT WORK. It won’t even open up for me the entire game just crashes. Graphics are sub par, controls are glitchy, game is glitchy, dont bother wasting your money on this game. Also, don’t listen to the other reviewers on here, they led me to want to buy this game when it actually is a piece of trash.

I have a 2009 Macbook Pro and have been playing a number of games over the years including the Call of Duty series, all of them worked fine. This game is glitchtchy, it freezes and the video is terrible. Wish I had not spoent my money. Just deleted from my machine in order to recover drive space. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

This game is absolutley amazing. The gameplay is awesome, better than any other shooter on the App store - IMO. If you look at other reviews, they say their are crashes sound bugs, etc. Do not be discouraged by this! $5… totally worth it IMO. I’ve only had 2 issues, sound bugs. One in the first prolouge and another one in the second chapter once they advance onto Dubai. All you need to do is restart, which is no problem for me. Quick restart and your good. I cannot wait to try out multiplayer once I beat the campagin. 9/10 for me. If you want those 10 points, develop the storyline a bit more. I wish their was more character explanation and a bit more depth instead of american soldiers attack american soldiers. I wish there was a bit more diversity, awesome explosions, maybe full out attack with your backup “army”. I’m not really sure, just seems that something is missing. None the less, awesome game!

If it wasn’t for intermittent freezing of FPS play I give this more stars, however a nice story and a feeling of camaraderie with characters can help me overlook graphics problem. This game calls for 10.8 or newer OS compadibilaty but it needs something more! After research I haven’t a clue…….Its listing at 4.99 however on Steam it going for 29.95. for that reason I bought it. So Who’s complaining? "Get it you won’t regret it” P.S. Intel Graphics are not supported its im portant to read fine print…. Most Macs have Intel so why is saying OS 10.8.0 will run?

Paid $30 dollars, please help me fix it and i will change review, besides that i was having fun until it started crashing. Don’t buy until bugs are fixed.. I wasted $30 if this is how the game is.

So I originally got the game before the update, no one is on multiplayer and the game crashes before opening everytime now and Apple Tech support hasn’t fixed it yes.. Waste of Money in my opinion, the campaign was great before the game stopped working.

Game crashes at launch every time.

I just bought this game 22/1/2016. and it has lots of really annoying bugs,( not the kind you can bare!), it is just unplayable game yet. Just wait till this game become fixed and I will review it as a good game. most important( Main ) issues: 1- it doesn’t support ps3 controller!, and I couldn’t even play it with my wired xbox 360 controller. 2- there are many delays(2 s to even 1 min), and this is at the very first events in the game, so you can’t even get to play the game. actually that is it, these are the only two problems, so why can’t you release some update that solve these two issues.

Why are you guys selling stuff that doesnt work? Please fix. The game crashes right away everytime.

I have heard wonderful things about this game, so imagine my delight when I discovered it on the App Store, and on top of that, on sale! After the reletively short install and startup, I got towards the end of the very first part of the game, when you’re still in the helicopter. Imagine now - if you will - my frustration when the game crashed to the desktop and then continued to crash upon startup to the point of me writing this review. I would love to give this well-praised game a 5-star review, but as long as I can’t play it, no stars would be a better-suited rating. A patch from the developers would be greatly appreciated.
